Tiësto tijdens Koninginnedag op Museumplein
DJ speelt langere set dan in 2009
9 maart 2010ShowbizzAmsterdamDJ Tiësto staat op Koninginnedag 2010 op het Museumplein in Amsterdam. Dit verklapte Tiësto gisteren bij Pauw en Witteman. Hij zal een set draaien tijdens het grote 538-feest op 30 april.
Vorig jaar was Tijs Verwest ook al van de partij, maar toen werd het feest van radiostation 538 ingekort door de aanslag in Apeldoorn. Vervolgens draaide Tiësto een korte set.
De 41-jarige dj bracht in 1995 zijn eerst mix-cd uit: Forbidden Paradise 3. In 2004 bereikte Tiësto de eerste positie van de Album Top 100 met zijn album Just Be. Ook de albums Paradise of the Athletes en Kaleidoscope verkochten erg goed in Nederland en andere landen. DJ Tiësto werd in 2002, 2003 en 2004 door lezers van het Britse blad DJ Magazine gekozen tot beste dj.
DJ Tiësto opende op 13 augustus 2004 de Olympische Spelen in Athene. Daarmee was hij de eerste dj die een Olympische Spelen muzikaal mocht openen.
