Together with a nature guide, you walk through the salt marshes of the Slufter.
In this exceptional nature area, the water of the North Sea flows through an opening in the dunes. The plants and animals live according to the tidal rhythm. In the summer, there are many roosting sandwich terns and lots of shorebirds. The plains are covered with fields of sea lavender and glasswort. 

This excursion is especially for our foreigner guests who don't understand the Dutch language.

  • Start at the end of the Oorsprongweg. Take the path over the dunes till you reach a bird lookout.
  • Boots are necessary
  • Toilets are not avaible during the excursion
  • The excursion goes through rough terrain and is therefore not suitable for disabled people
  • The excursion can be cancelled during thunderstorm
  • During rain the excursion only be canceld if necessary because of nesting birds
  • No dogs allowed
  • Be ware of ticks. When warmer than 10 degrees ticks can be active. Check your entire body after the trip.
