It’s been ten years now that Simin Tander and David Golek met in Amsterdam. Inspired by each other’s rich musical and ethnical backgrounds, they started a beautiful collaboration, resulting in the highly acclaimed album ‘Folk Songs from Another Land’ (2012). In the past years Simin became an ECM recording artist and toured worldwide with both her own quartet and a trio with Tord Gustavsen, while David gained international respect with his quartet Tiltan and his Jazz trios.
We are extremely happy that David and Simin followed our invitation to realize this very special re-union! Expect an evening of fresh, deep, touching, humorous, mystical and spontaneously entertaining music.

On the Roof, de concertserie met het mooiste uitzicht op Amsterdam, gaat zijn achtste seizoen in. Op tien zomeravonden tussen 1 juni en 7 september 2019 kunt u van een hoogwaardig en zeer divers programma genieten dat de grenzen van Jazz en Wereldmuziek verkent.
