The 14th edition of the Europe Lecture is about cultural heritage at risk. Irina Bokova, Director-General of UNESCO, will share her views on the many threats to cultural heritage in times of conflict. What are the strategies and actions to respond to cultural cleansing, deliberate destruction of culture and illicit trafficking of cultural property, which is linked to the financing of terrorism?
Ms. Bokova has been the Director-General of UNESCO since 15 November 2009. She is also the official candidate for the position of UN Secretary-General.
