Nieuwe composities met invloeden van balkan, blues en rock tegen een achtergrond van Cypriotische volksmuziek, dat is Monsieur Doumani! Dit trio uit Cyprus maakt frisse, funky groovende muziek waar je heel goed op kan dansen. Dit in combinatie met onverwachte stops, ritmewisselingen en het gebruik van typisch Griekse instrumenten maken het een innovatief en fris geheel. Monsieur Doumani is in Cyprus razend populair vanwege de combinatie van de dansbare bijna feestmuziek met politiek kritische teksten.

In 2018 kwam hun derde album uit dat veel internationale aandacht kreeg en op nummer 1 stond in de Transglobal World Music Chart.

Monsieur Doumani compose Cypriot songs influenced by both traditional Cypriot folk and modern balkan, rock and blues tunes. The result: very danceable folk roots grooves! With sudden stops, changes of rythm and use of traditional Greek instruments they create interesting and innovative songs. Monsieur Doumani is one of the most popular bands in Cyprus due to the combination of danceable folk music and political lyrics.
